It works closely with a network of National Committees and country offices, to achieve a range of goals, the most important of which in the context of this role is raising over $2 billion per year.
The Market Development and Performance Team (MDT) within PFP plays a central role by linking National Committee fundraising plans and activities with global fundraising priorities. Their work is very important because the accuracy of the data and the clarity of communications influence fundamental strategic decisions. There is an element of project management too; the postholder helps to manage the annual Investment Fund allocation process which adds fundraising budget in over fifty countries. In summary, this is an analysis role with elements of project management and communication to help ensure that UNICEF achieves its private sector fundraising goals.
